SponsorshipPage

Our Sponsors

Our thanks go to Freedesktop.org and Portland State University for providing hosting and hardware for x.org, and to DealsLands, PromoCodeWatch, and others who have provided generous financial sponsorship and in-kind support.

Grants and Sponsorships

The X.Org foundation may grant travel sponsorship to members who are going to publicly present their work related to the associated projects of the foundation and who cannot get any other form of sponsorship from their employer. Conferences officially approved for sponsorship are the XDC, FOSDEM and the Linux Plumbers Meeting.

Also see the Reimbursement Policy.

Information for Sponsors

X.Org is trying to do an extremely big, important job with limited resources. Sponsorship and contributions of money, equipment, etc. are extremely valuable to us in promoting and supporting X development. For the benefits and recognition of sponsoring the X.Org Foundation see our policy on sponsoring levels.

The X.Org Foundation is a member of Software in the Public Interest (SPI), a non-profit New York organization operated under section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. This allows for contributions to the Foundation to be considered tax deductible for U.S. taxpayers. Public disclosure of such documents as required by the Internal Revenue Code is available from SPI.

Please contact our Treasurer, currently Bryce Harrington <treasurer@x.org>, for Tax ID information and any other financial information you need to facilitate your sponsorship. Please contact our Secretary, currently Daniel Vetter <secretary@x.org>, if you have general questions about sponsorship or contribution.

Thank you for your support.
